Chinese Group Giving Away Free Masks for Pinoys Goes Viral

Despite being frequently feared just for being Chinese after the 2019-nCov outbreak, it is still wonderful to see that there are Chinese people who didn’t mind the hurtful words Filipinos said about them. Instead, they are there to help many Filipinos in preventing the spread the coronavirus.

The Philippines recently confirmed its first case of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCov), identifying the patient as a 38-year-old woman from Wuhan, China who traveled to the cities of Cebu and Dumaguete before heading to Manila.

As panic ensues across the country, particularly in places the Chinese patient visited, a lot of people are staying as far away from Chinese people or Chinese-looking people as possible. Many believe that it is better to be safe than sorry; thus, they make sure to keep a very safe distance away from these folks.

And while they get feared just for being Chinese, a group is giving out free masks to Filipinos. Cindy Arcangeles shared photos of the Chinese guys handing out free masks, until supplies last.

“Kahit binubully at binab@sh nyo sla tumutulong parin sila in their own ways. Let’s all have unity, wag po tayong maging mapride at mambully. Not all Chinese are the same. Pls spread the good news!!

Out of stocks na po ang facemask. This may help: Giving free face mask to everyone Lido De Paris Hotel 1036 Ongpin St, Santa Cruz, Manila, 1003 Metro Manila.

Pray lang po tayo. Take care each and every one!

As of press time, the stocks have all been distributed and they are now out of stock. But netizens were happy that these kindhearted Chinese guys did their best to help out. Thanks to you, sirs! You are heroes to us all.
