Farmer’s Daughter Proudly Shares Graduation Photo with Dad

A lot of old folks might say that the younger generations are selfish and might even be ashamed about their parents! Yet it is great to hear stories of young folks who are so proud of their parents that they readily post about them on social media, no matter the circumstances and even if their parents work menial jobs.

Ela Marfil Sullano is a young woman who recently graduated from high school with flying colors! She received the Academic Excellence Award with High Honors as she completed her studies at St. Vincent College of Science and Technology in Iloilo City, Philippines.

But this young woman did not go viral because of her award. Instead, she earned praise from netizens after she proudly shared a photo with her dad on her graduation day. Wearing a white toga and several medals around her neck, this young lady posed with her dad as they held the many certificates she also received.

Nakapagtapos ako dahil sa dugo’t pawis ng aking ama. ? #ProudDaughterOfAFarmer,” Ela wrote on Facebook.

The young girl was just trying to honor her farmer dad yet her post touched so many netizens’ hearts. A lot of people were glad that this young woman is happy that her dad was able to send her to school even if he does not earn a lot of money as a farmer.

Many are also happy that she is proud of her dad, especially considering that many people look down on farmers and other people with menial jobs. It is great that Ela has become an example to other young people to feel proud about their parents, no matter what jobs they might have!

And it is heartwarming that this farmer dad did everything he could to send his precious daughter to school, even if that surely meant working extra hard to achieve that dream for Ela…
