One guy goes to sleep on ‘live video’ but wakes up famous with 1.8 million views! Whoa.
Just some weeks ago, a Malaysian vlogger went viral for doing nothing in a video that lasted 2 hours but gained over 2.7 million views on YouTube. Many had apparently found it hilarious that a guy would do nothing for 2 hours but sit in front of the camera, trying his best not to act too bored.
It’s really hilarious how many people would go to such great lengths to go viral, yet one guy from the Philippines appears to have topped the Malaysian vlogger as he becomes famous for just sleeping on ‘live video’.
Marnie Saez of Cavite City, Philippines, was actually feeling depressed after he nearly broke up with his live-in partner of 5 years. Apparently, the woman went away and brought their son with her, leaving Marnie brokenhearted.
“Mag-isa lang po kasi ako at nalulungkot ako. Nami-miss ko na rin ang mag-ina ko. Kaya para maramdaman ko na may kasama ako sa pagtulog ko, nag-live na lang po ako. Hindi ko naman akalain na paggising ko, andami nang nanonood,” he explained.
“Naisip ko din na sana makita ito ng asawa ko na si Korynne at ng anak ko na si Marco kasi nami-miss ko na sila.”
A depressed Marnie wanted to feel that he wasn’t alone; thus, he posted the ‘live video’ of himself sleeping. But it quickly went viral, with thousands of people actually keeping vigil and watching him sleep. LOL.
The jokes would soon keep coming as people watched and waited for the time he would wake up. Many worried about his battery but others were more interested in what would happen next.
“11.5k na walang ba TONG ITS dyan? KAPE O BISCUIT? baaaa yan! Daig pa naten naglamay sa puyat magbantay a HAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAAHAHHAHA,” one netizen joked as he kept vigil over the sleeping guy.
“Selling coffee para sa mga magbabantay kay kuya hahaha tayo ang mapupuyat may 11k na bantay sakanya now hahaha,” another commented.
But the video was suddenly cut off about 4 hours later. Perhaps he ran out of battery or data but his ‘watchers’ felt somewhat cheated that he didn’t even greet them a “Good Morning!” because the ‘live video’ just ended. Yet the sleeping video would go viral, gaining over 1.8 million views.
To see is to believe? Well, here’s the video:
